The Burn
My body is still burning from my workout yesterday with Virginia. I guess I haven't used those muscles in quite sometime. LS took me to the store to by Tiger Balm. That and pleny of Motrin has been helping to take the burn away. I know at the end of this I'll be in great shape and will feel good but I keep wondering what it is that I've agreed to do. I had plans to go to the bike shop today to check out the Specialized Dolce but those plans are on hold until i can move. That means walking down the steps to the subway without grimacing. Its pathetic. Tomorrow is my one free night after work so i'll go to the gym again. Seriously, what am I doing?

Let the training begin
I'm officially training for my first triathlon. Never thought I'd say that! Today was my first training session at Chelsea Piers fitness center. Virginia worked my ass off! It was insane. I could feel the burn half-way in. Most of the time was spent on my lower half. According to Virginia I'm stronger in my arms. Not sure why that is-- yoga, maybe? She did comment on my flat stomach but I quickly explained the Flu had something to do with that! I have another session with Virginia next week. I'm doing what I can now so I'm not the slowest one at the first group run one next week. Let the biking, swimming, running begin. Why am I doing this again???
